Responding to Emergencies in the Houston Urban Area Through Technology

When disasters happen, information sharing becomes vitally important as emergency response agencies works to reduce the risk to life and property, and to begin stabilizing the situation. 

The Houston Urban Area, as one of the highest-threatened communities in the United States has access to a myriad of technologies to help reduce risk, and quickly respond to the needs of area residents.  With all of these tools, sometimes its difficult to keep them straight.  The Houston UASI Regional Technology Seminar & Fair provides a vendor-free environment for emergency response agencies to ask questions, learn about tools, and find new and creative ways to ensure their information needs are met in an emergency.
